About Us
Our story began in 2012, with a simple belief: every child deserves the best possible start.
Besotted with the Montessori philosophy; the way it respects the child, nurtures independence, and builds a love for learning felt exactly right for preschoolers.
As our little ones grew, so did we. Parents asked, “What’s next?” That’s when we added a natural extension: the century-old British curriculum. It gave our primary-aged students structure, depth, and global recognition, while keeping the curiosity and independence Montessori had started.
Our passion didn’t stop there.
Today we support families with international exam readiness:
- IGCSE and AS Level CIE preparation for students pursuing the British pathway
- GED readiness for senior students who need a different route to American high school equivalency
At GA, our love is simple: nurturing students through every step of their learning path.

Our Team
Grosvenor Academy is run by a dedicated team of educators, tutors, service providers, an onsite social worker, and caring support staff.
Preschool Team
Our preschool feels like home because of our warm duo teacher team.
With over a decade at GA, they bring warmth, calm, and heart to our small group. As a mom herself, our lead teacher shares values of kindness and respect that help every child feel safe, seen, and loved.
Primary Team
When every child is truly seen and heard, learning becomes something they love.
We know students come with different abilities and needs, yet all share the same big goals. Our vision is simple: kind hearts, dedicated efforts, and continued nurturing every day.
A strong foundation is built by the people who care for it. Our love for the Cambridge curriculum gives our students structure and confidence, and it’s what keeps our team working together toward something amazing.
International Exam Readiness Team
When the journey comes to its final stretch, you need a team that understands the effort behind the reward.
An internationally accredited certification takes more than content. It takes experience, practice, and discipline. We balance deep knowledge of the syllabus with real opportunities to apply it, clear understanding of marking criteria, and the steady building of independence.
This is tribe effort. With experience, dedication, and a passion to see every student succeed, we walk with them all the way to the finish line. Whether you’re on your way to an IGCSE, AS level or GED finish, we are ready to support you!
STEAM Programme
This is where we bring content to life.
Here, science and technology dance together. Theories are explored not just on paper, but with creativity and hands.
Through projects, problem-solving, and play, students see how ideas connect to the real world — and discover the joy of building, testing, and creating.
Chess
Strategy, healthy competition, and problem-solving come together on the chess board.
Hosted by Mzanzi Chess Academy, our programme introduces students to this timeless game in an age-appropriate way.
Through play, they build focus, patience, and curiosity — learning that every move matters, and every challenge is an opportunity to think differently.
Mindfulness
When each teacher leads with purpose and creates awareness for the children, they step into the role of coach.
Coaching the growing mind is something we take pleasure in — both in ourselves and in our students.
Through mindfulness, we help children notice their thoughts and show up with focus and kindness.
It’s how we nurture not just strong learners, but grounded human beings.
Music
With the American School of Rock at our doorstep, our students have access to a professional studio for band and individual lessons.
From practice to performance, concert season is where their passion, confidence, and teamwork shines.
Support Staff
Our support staff keeps us all working smoothly.
From stepping into assigned roles for the day, to finding new ways to support the team, they show up with care and flexibility.
We come together in whatever way is needed — because our common shared vision is bigger than any one role.
It truly takes a tribe to create a place where children can thrive.
Our Approach to Conduct
We are always working towards an environment where each can respectfully voice his/her likes, dislikes, and opinions. We are strict about nonviolent communication and we follow a self-correcting system whereby, if anyone has committed an offense, they are given an opportunity to correct it. We do not have demerit systems, neither do we punish students with detention and the like. Conflict resolution is taught during lessons, and we encourage students to approach any teacher should they feel troubled. If a situation arises where the conflict or offense is serious, parents will be called in to assist in a resolution.
